The accommodations were cozy and well-equipped, with a log burner that kept us warm throughout our stay. The welcome pack provided fresh bread, pastries, and even a small bottle of Prosecco, which was a lovely touch. The on-site pub served delicious home-cooked food, and we especially enjoyed their generous Sunday Roast. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the presence of Aggie the dog added to our overall enjoyment. The beautiful surroundings and the presence of well-kept goats added a charming touch to our experience.

The lack of Wi-Fi in the shepherd huts was unexpected and inconvenient, especially as we had specifically chosen this location for astrophotography purposes. a lack of privacy within the accommodations was a bit uncomfortable, particularly when sharing a room with another person.

The bell tents are spacious with plenty of amenities and activities for children. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and there's a lovely pack of surprise marshmallows for campfires. The atmosphere in the evening is great, and the setting is tranquil.

Felt welcomed into the family, no complaints.

The cabin was amazing with beautiful finishing touches and a comfortable bed. We loved the bird box light feature above the bed and the cozy fire pit. The staff were lovely and the breakfast welcome package was a nice touch. The pub food was delicious, and we enjoyed listening to the band play on Saturday night. a unique and enjoyable experience.

    Do recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Shepherd Hut at the Gaggle of Geese Pub for a weekend getaway and it exceeded our expectations. The hut itself was beautifully designed and surprisingly spacious. The hosts were incredibly friendly and provided a thoughtful welcome pack and firewood. We enjoyed feeding the Pygmy goats and the food in the pub was delicious and reasonably priced. We will definitely recommend this unique experience to our friends and family.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

We had a fantastic stay at the Gaggle Of Geese! The Shepherd hut was modern, clean, and had all the facilities we needed. The large and private garden area in front of the hut was a real bonus. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The pub food was amazing, and my partner loved the cocktail menu. The location was perfect, with beautiful green fields and plenty of activities for our children, including a play bus. We loved it so much that we're already planning to go back in November.

Breakfast delights, a stove or hob in the Shepherd hut would have been great for cooking.

The accommodation was surprisingly spacious and cozy. We loved the efficient log burner and the welcome pack with fresh bread, pastries, and Prosecco. The pub served delicious, home-cooked food, especially the Sunday Roast. The bar staff were attentive and the presence of Aggie the dog added to the charm. The beautiful surroundings and tranquil atmosphere made for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The lukewarm water was a disappointment, and we could have used more storage space. The large table was often in the way.

The shepherd's hut was beautifully clean with added touches like fresh milk, chocolate torte, and local honey. It was fully equipped with tea, coffee, and orange juice. the location was tranquil and ideal for families with children, with a safe and friendly atmosphere. the host was welcoming and attentive, offering extra logs and providing entertainment with a band playing on Saturday evening.

Felt like a home away from home, with nothing too much trouble.

The setting of this charming little place was lovely and peaceful. The lack of signal and WiFi allowed us to live in the moment. The staff were friendly and the food at the pub was delicious, especially the homemade garlic mayo.

It would have been nice to have a curtain separating the rooms for more privacy. Also, the toilet could use a key lock to prevent other guests from using it.
